JOANNE “Jodi”, nee Tepperberg, 74,
died on June 1, 2023. Jodi was the
daughter of the late Murray & Effie Tepp
of Tarrytown, NY. She is survived by
Shirley Pripstein, her long-time com-
panion and wife of 13 years, broth-
ers Jordan (Jay) Tepp (Laurie) and
Alan Tepp (Mary Jane), and half-sister
Rachel Herman (Marty). In the 1970s,
Jodi was the lead singer and keyboard
player for Sundance, a top 40s band
that performed in West Chester County,
New York. She subsequently obtained
a bachelor’s degree in music education
from Manhattenville College and a mas-
ter’s degree from Southern Connecticut
State University. She taught music at
PS 105 in the north Bronx for 28 years,
where, in addition to her classroom du-
ties, she coached a beginning band,
an advanced band, a beginning choir,
an advanced choir, and an Orff ensem-
ble. The annual spring concert at which
these groups performed was always a
resounding success. In lieu of flowers,
memorial Contributions may be sent the
ACLU, GLAD, Partnerships Adult Day
Center in Hamden, the Jewish National
Fund, or the World Wildlife Fund.

MARLENE, 90, of Malvern passed away
May 30, 2023 surrounded by family.

She was loved by her companion, Lou,
children, Diane (Keith), Paul (Sandy)
& Stewart (Carolyn), grandkids, Erika,
Brett, Laura, Megan, Tyler & Zach, great
grandkids, Dylan, Riley, Ava & Layla, her
brother Howard (the late Nancy), sister-
in-law Janice and her late brother, Carl
and many other loving family members
and friends. Marlene was known for her
strong will, attention to detail, her very
strong love of animals, especially her
cats who were often by her side. She
loved to help any homeless animal that
crossed her path by giving food, water
and shelter to them, along with donating
to local animal charities. She most of all,
was known for her everlasting love for
her family. She will be greatly missed by
everyone. In lieu of flowers, donations
in Marlene’s memory may be made to
ASPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
