Maryland Special Needs
Advocacy Program
A program of Macks Center for Jewish
Education, MDSNAP provides free educa-
tional advocacy services for Jewish children
with special needs, from birth to age 21.
MDSNAP helps more than 200 families
to navigate the special education system
each year. MDSNAP works with parents
to prepare for IFSP and IEP meetings and
will accompany them to these meetings.

community SHEMESH serves as a community-wide
program in Baltimore providing the ed-
ucational support necessary for Jewish
children with learning differences to reach
their full intellectual, academic, emotional
and social potential in a Jewish setting.
Services are offered in each school in
accordance with the school’s educational
and religious policies.
COMMUNITY RESOURCES
Autism is treatable. Early intervention is crit-
ical. Little Leaves Behavioral Services: serving
families in the Baltimore/D.C. metro area.
