and religious voice providing spiritual lead-
ership for the local Jewish community. It is
a forum for rabbis to confer and promote
communal issues, to facilitate coopera-
tive programs among congregations. The
board sponsors annual adult education
programs in the Jewish community as well
as a semi-annual Introduction to Judaism
course for non-Jews who are considering
conversion to Judaism or simply want to
learn more about the religion.
