MATZ ORLEANS
ROSEN Constance Matz (Connie), of Audubon, PA,
formerly of Gulph Mills, Age 86, died peace-
fully on August 22, 2021. She was prede-
ceased by her husband, Merton (Bud) Matz
and her daughter, Lisa. She was an excep-
tionally devoted wife and mother. Connie was
born in Philadelphia to parents, Sarah (nee
Rudolph) and Joseph Miller. She grew up in
Roanoke Virginia and moved back to Phil-
adelphia in her twenties to live and work as a
paralegal in a law firm where she met her
husband. Connie is survived by a brother in
North Carolina, her devoted cousins and
many good friends who adored her. She will
always be remembered for her cuteness,
kindness, style, and great sense of humor.

She brought much joy to everyone who knew
her. Contributions in her memory may be

NATHANSON Annette Nathanson (nee Weinerman), on
September 23, 2021. She had a full and won-
derful life with her beloved Charles. She loved
and was very proud of her family, her chil-
dren: Randy Brandt (Michele), Lance Brandt
(Elyse Stolinsky), and the late Jeffery Brandt
(Dyan), and her loving grandchildren Jacob
Brandt, Scott Stolinsky, and Michael Stolin-
sky. Annette and Charles traveled the world
together. She loved to read and always car-

PERRY It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of our beloved mother, mother-in-
law. mom-mom, sister, aunt. sister-in-law
and cousin, Gale Elaine Perry. Gale was 82
years old, she passed away on Sunday, Au-
gust 29th, 2021, surrounded by her children.

Gale graduated from West Philadelphia High
School and married her high school sweet-
heart Mel Perry. She was a homemaker for
years until gaining entrance into the casino
business until retirement. Gale is survived by
her children Neal and Wendy Perry, Robin
and Alex Padick along with 5 grandchildren
Lauren Perry, Scott Padick, Lee Padick,
Shane Lamm, Shawn Lamm and sister
Sherry Aarons as well as many additional ex-

ford, PA died on September 4, 2021. Sur-
vived by loving husband Joseph Rosen, M.D.

Loving Mother of David (Layne) and Kenneth,
and devoted grandmother of Melia (Noah
Gross) and Sonya, and great grandmother of
Yehuda (Gross). She was a devoted graduate
of the University of Michigan. Carolyn was an
art teacher at the Welsh Valley Junior High in
Lower Merion, PA. She was active with the
American Friends of the Hebrew University,
served as President and was a board mem-
ber for many years. Carolyn was an accom-
plished artist and photographer. She loved
world travel and cherished classical music as
well as the opera. Carolyn was a docent at the
Barnes Museum and for several years a guide
at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She en-
joyed giving elegant dinner parties at home to
family and friends using her outstanding
culinary skills. Graveside services and Inter-
ment were at Haym Salomon Memorial Park
on Sunday, September 5, 2021. A Zoom
Shiva was held on Sunday evening, Septem-
ber 5, 2021. Contributions in Carolyn's

The Philadelphia Orchestra, or to a charity of

Harriet Rosenberg (nee Mondelblatt), aged
93, of Abington and Philadelphia, PA, passed
away peacefully on September 12, 2021. She
was the beloved wife of the late Harold
Rosenberg, and is survived by her children,
Iris (Kevin) Parker and Murray (Lorna)
Rosenberg. Grandmother to Reid, Johanna,
and Hilary Parker (Corley,) and David, Aryeh,
and Judith Rosenberg; and Great-Grand-
mother to Noah and Micah Parker, Jordan
and Juliana Majors, and Max Corley. Harriet
was born in South Philadelphia and raised as
the only child of Fannie (nee Fogelman) and
David Mondelblatt. She grew up in a loving
home surrounded by her extended family.

Sunday dinners and numerous family gather-
ings and lifecycle events caused Harriet to
develop a strong focus on family, something
she always cherished and ardently promoted
throughout her life. Harriet and Harold mar-
ried in 1951 and purchased a home in North-
east Philadelphia where they lived for 40
years. She took great pride in her role as
homemaker while Harold manufactured wo-
men’s lingerie at his Garden Looms factory.

She attended numerous school events that
involved her children and grandchildren,
bringing her great joy. Harriet and Harold rel-
ished spending time with their grandchildren
and traveling. After Harold’s death, Harriet
continued this tradition by taking each of her
grandchildren on a “big trip” after their
Bar/Bat Mitzvah: Disney World, London and
Paris, Alaska, Italy, and the Caribbean. Har-
riet went back to work at the age of 50 for the
School District of Philadelphia until her
“early” retirement at the age of 82 1/2. She
loved her administrative assistant position in
the RITE/MERIT Program and the people she
worked with each day. Harriet’s co-workers,
who included many nuns, teachers, and ad-
ministrators, were a great source of love and
support during her working years and in re-
tirement. Harriet lived independently until the
end of April 2021. She enjoyed going to fam-
ily gatherings, numerous educational and
music programs, and Shabbat services. She
was very generous, warm, and optimistic.

She shared her winning smile with all whom
she met. Please consider a donation in her

tion Keneseth Israel, or the American Dia-
betes Association. Funeral and Shiva will be
private due to Covid restrictions.

ROVNER ROSENTHAL
Florence “Butzie” Rosenthal (nee Resnick),
Sept. 19, 2021. She was born during the de-
pression to Russian immigrants Abraham
and Esther. She lost both of her parents by
the time she was an adolescent and started
work at a very young age and didn't stop un-
til she was 86. During her 20's she worked
for 20th Century Fox Films where she loved
to tell stories about the movie stars she
would meet who came to Philadelphia to pro-
mote their movies. Later in life she worked
for Albert Einstein Medical Center where she
worked for over 30 years. She started out as
a part-time secretary in the hospital library,
and eventually would work her way to Assist-
ant Medical Librarian. She was one of the
first people to learn how to do medical
searches for doctors using computer techno-
logy and would eventually be credited with
setting up a computer lab enabling medical
staff to do their own research. The hospital
awarded her with the esteemed Maimonides
Award, which recognized her contributions
over the years. There is also a plaque in the
library recognizing her dedication and loyalty
to the hospital. She was a loving wife to her
now deceased husband Jack J. Rosenthal.

Her legacy will continue through her beloved
children Eileen Anita (the late Jaime Mijlin),
and Robert Mitchell (Debra). She is also
survived by three beloved grandchildren Al-
exa, Mara and Reiss. She was predeceased
by her brother Morris and sister Francis.

2021. Mel was born in Atlantic City, then
lived in Pennsauken. He spent the last six
years living in Port Angeles, WA. Mel was a
former winner of the prestigious Avoda
Award. He was a banker at Continental bank.

Mel is survived by his niece, Shelley (John)
Dorfman-Schostak of Port Angeles, WA. He
