2020 (born in Tel Aviv on April 26th 1937) of
Yardley Pennsylvania and Jupiter Florida.

Perfect mate, life partner, protector and
""everything"" to Rhoda (nee Moses); proud,
supportive, courageous father to Bonnie (Vin-
cent), Melanie (Craig), and Shari (Thomas);
adoring, doting, loving, Poppop to Jordyn
(Sam), Sydney, Max, Matheson, and Sima.

Bernie was an accomplished orthopedic sur-
geon, chief, teacher, mentor, family man, pi-
lot, captain, expert whistler, crab-picker,
model-builder, RC-flyer, neighbor, friend,
husband, father, and grandfather. And so

BAIDER BARSHAK
Stanley Baider...Stan, Son, Dad, Pops,
Sonny, Papa Sonny, Uncle Boo, Stan the
Man…a loving and devoted family man left
this world on Father's Day, June 21, 2020.

Whatever name he went by, he touched
everyone he met because he made them feel
special. Stan was born in Philadelphia Pa are
resided there his entire life. He was a proud
U.S. Air Force Veteran and served the coun-
try he loved in Korea. He had a strong work
ethic starting his career as a printer and
eventually moving into a leadership position
at the former Chilton Printing Co. He later
opened up a donut and coffee shop called
Sonny's Academy Plaza Donuts. If that
wasn't enough, he had a retirement job with
Holy Redeemer Hospital in Huntingdon Val-
ley, Pa for over two decades, working in
transportation for therapy services and was
known as "Stan the Man". He enjoyed sports,
he enjoyed the casinos (A.C. & Las Vegas)
and loved his dogs Ching and Kwai. He loved
the beauty of nature and appreciated every
day as a gift. The favorite foods everyone
knew he loved…hot dogs, corn on the cob,
lemon meringue pie and watermelon. Family
was always everything to him. Stan was ad-
ored and survived by his devoted wife of 60
years, Marion; children Larry and his wife
Debbie; Scott and his wife Holly; grandchil-
dren Alex, Kryra, Andrea, Dan, Ashley, Joey,
Mark, Garrett and great-grand-daughter Mag-
gie. He also leaves behind a twin sister,
Roberta Herring and Brother-in-law, Jack. His
eldest sister that he also loved dearly, Selma
just passed last year. Stan also had so many
nieces, nephews and friends that he loved so
dearly. Stan and his wife Marion were both
members of Krakauer-Yampolier and Leisure
Timers at Del Air Landing. The family kindly
asks that any donations be made to Holy Re-
deemer Hospice and Marlyn Fein Chapter,
Fox Chase Cancer Center. A Life Celebration
will be planned for a future date to honor this
truly special human being.

BALEFSKY Mary Balefsky (nee Yaskin) on September 5,
2020. Wife of the late Irwin; mother of Lee
(Kathy) Balefsky Esq. and Sharon (Chip) Eis-
enberg; sister of Harold Yaskin and Tamara

BARMAT Ziva Barmat, age 84, (nee Brown) passed
away August 30, 2020. Beloved wife of the
late Charles Barmat. Loving mother of the
late Neil Barmat. Adoring grandmother of

Marlee W. Barshak (nee Waldman), passed
away peacefully on September 13, 2020.

Born and raised in West Philadelphia and a
long-time resident of Lafayette Hill, she was
the co-owner of Touch of Class Gift Shop. A
graduate of Lower Merion High School and
Harcum College, she will be sadly missed by
many loving family and friends. Wife of the
late Peter Barshak. Mother of Alison Barshak
(Pacifico “Podge” Sgambato), Eric (Dana)
Barshak and Wendy (Sal) Carbone. Grand-
mother of Natalie, Adrian, Bianca, Cole,
Amanda and Sarah. Sister of the late Albert
Waldman and the late Donald Waldman. Rel-

BERENHOLZ Dois Berenholz (nee Gartman). Beloved wife
of Sal Berenholz for nearly 70 years, mother
of Rochelle (Steven), Deborah Robin (Mark),
and Ellen, and loving grandmother of six and
great-grandmother of two beautiful children,
passed away at home early in the morning of
August 21, 2020. She was deeply loved by
her family and friends. She was a woman of
great creativity, intelligence, and compassion.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Doris went to
Philadelphia High School for Girls and stud-
ied at the Philadelphia Museum School, now
University of the Arts. A gifted artist and
draftsperson, her love of and talent for art
were only matched by her accomplished
culinary skills. An exceptional homemaker
who loved to entertain, she worked along-
side her husband in their manufacturing busi-
ness for 50 years. She was extraordinarily
generous and will be dearly missed. A
graveside funeral was held for close family.

CASH BERSHAD
Jack R. Bershad, 90, born May 20, 1930,
died August 20, 2020, son of William and
Anne (nee Goodman) and brother of Edward
(deceased). A man of integrity, charm, intelli-
gence and kindness, Jack is survived by his
loving and devoted wife, Helen (nee Jay), his
sons, Thomas, Daniel and Robert, his daugh-
ters-in-law, Marjorie and Laurie, and his
grandchildren, Sandra, Adam and Rebecca.

Born in Depression-era Philadelphia, Jack
graduated from Central High School, earned
a Bachelor of Science degree from Temple
University in 1951, and in 1954 received a
Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard Law
School, which he attended on a full scholar-
ship, and served in the United States Army
from 1954 to 1956. Jack served as Law Clerk
to Judge Harry Kalodner of the United States
Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit from
1956 to 1957. In 1958, directly from a year
as staff counsel for the Small Business Ad-
ministration, he joined Blank & Rudenko,
later named Blank Rome, as its 16th lawyer
in the Commercial Department, which he
later led. He was admitted to partnership in
1964, served as chair of the firm from 1990
to 1999, and retired in 2003. Jack was an
avid lover of fine arts and culture, and a
strong proponent of his Jewish heritage and
the nation of Israel. A valued advisor and
counselor, he served in key board positions
with many organizations, including the Phil-
adelphia Museum of Art, the Middle East For-
um, the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society
and the American Associates, Ben-Gurion
University of the Negev, which raises funds
and awareness for the University and the
Negev Desert across the United States. In lieu
of flowers, contributions may be made in the
name of Helen and Jack Bershad to Ben-Guri-

Anne Cash nee Eisen passed away on August
26,2020 (6th of Elul). It was a Graveside ser-
vice on August 28,2020. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Carl Cash, her mother
Leah Singer Eisen, and her siblings Dr. Sam
Eisen, Charles (Kivy) Eisen and her sister Es-
ther Eisen Siegel. Anne is survived by her
children Cheryl Cash-Linietsky, Rabbi Levi
and Debbie Cash, her adored grandchildren
Kalman and Rivka Cash, Menachem Cash,
Kalman Linietsky, Gavriel Cash, and Ezra
Cash. She is also survived by the apple of her
eye her great grandson Yoel Simcha Cash
who she had the bracha of being able to at-
tend his Bris. Anne is also survived by her
neices, nephews and great neices and neph-
ews. Special thanks to her nephew Marc Eis-
en, her great niece Stephanie Eisen and her
neice and nephew Marci and Paul Turer and
their children and grandchildren. Anne was a
long time employee of the Federal Govern-
ment working in military sales. She was a
lifetime member of Hadassah. Anne spent
much time voluntering at Klein Life in NE
Phila and had many leadership roles in vari-
ous clubs at Klein Life. Anne was a doer, a
leader and always busy doing kindness for
others, especially for her family and those
she choose to be part of her family. May her
memory be for a blessing. Donations in her
memory can be given to Klein Life in North-
east Phila.

CHARLES Judith Charles (nee Kaplan), on August 30,
2020. Beloved wife of Craig Charles, Loving

Clara Bylock (nee Brody) passed away
September 14, 2020. Beloved wife of the late
Nathan Bylock. Clara is survived by her
daughter Gail Berger, her grandson Matthew
and his wife Kimberly, and was “GG” to her
great-grandchildren Noah, Jonas, and Dan-
ica. Clara is also survived by her daughter
Sheila Privor and her husband Harvey, her
grandchildren, Lois Privor-Dumm (Greg
Dumm), Cheri Privor, Michele (Tony) Leone,
Patrick Foley, Brian (Kim) Privor, and great-
granddaughter, Calla. Nicole Nelson was
Clara’s dedicated and devoted health aide.

Clara worked as an Administrator at Brown-
ing Road Medical Center for many years. It
was through her dedication and tireless ef-
forts, along with the doctors on staff, that
made it such a wonderful testing/medical
center. Contributions in her memory may be
made to the Aflac Pediatric Cancer Center.
