LOMONOSOFF LEVINE
David Levine, originally from Pittsburgh, tra-
gically died with his beloved wife, Tania, in a
house fire on Wednesday, October 5, 2016,
at the age of 55. Loving husband of the late
Tania Levine for 30 years; caring father of Ju-
lian and Monica Levine; beloved son of Patty
and Stanley Levine, brother of Susie Gross
(Donald), Hank Levine (Jill), and Betsy Lev-
ine-Brown (Marc). David grew up on Mar-
bury Road in Churchill where he enjoyed
playing street hockey and every imaginable
sport with his siblings and neighbors. A mu-
sic lover, David played the guitar, and had re-
cently taken it up again. David showed an
early interest in nature and animals, espe-
cially reptiles. Spending his summers at
Kamp Kawanee in Pennsylvania and Camp
Walden in Canada with his siblings, he was
known as a fun-loving, prankster. He gradu-
ated from Churchill High School in 1979, and
then attended the University of Pennsylvania,
graduating in 1983 from the Wharton School
of Business. Subsequently, David lived in
Philadelphia, where he met the love of his
life, Tania. After college, David worked as an
options trader and market maker at the Phil-
adelphia Stock Exchange, eventually starting
and serving as President of his own firm, DL
Securities, Ltd. Always a risk taker with a
sharp and analytic mind, David successfully
traded options for twenty-nine years. In
2013, David reinvented himself as owner and
operator of ComForCare Senior Services Care
with his wife, Tania. David led the company’s
marketing, sales, and business strategy, and
was named one of the Huffington Post’s “50
Post-50 Boomers,” individuals who reinven-
ted themselves after the age of 50. David was
a devoted husband and father who loved to
spend time traveling with his family. Togeth-
er, David and Tania shared an appreciation
for fine and exotic foods, wines, and cooking.
Always an interested conversationalist, David
was the rare kind of person who consistently
asked others about themselves, and intently
listened to the answers. He enjoyed playing
golf, and would never say no to a poker game
with friends. He approached poker like
everything else he did, with an analytic and
studious mind. Always a lover of clever puns,
David was quick witted and funny, and could
be counted on for a play on words. All who
knew and loved David are overcome with
grief by the devastating and tragic loss. Con-
tributions may be made to Autism Speaks,
Attn: Web Gift, 1060 State Rd., 2nd FL., Prin-
ceton NJ 08540 or to Animal Rescue League

LEVINE Tetiana (Tania) Levine, of Philadelphia, with
her beloved husband, David, tragically died in
a house fire on Wednesday, October 5, 2016,
at the age of 58. Loving wife of the late David
Levine for 30 years; caring mother of Julian
and Monica Levine; beloved daughter of Na-
dia and Osyp Nimylowycz, sister of Marta Fox
and Lydia Sos (Yarko). Raised in Phil-
adelphia, Tania’s childhood was intimately in-
volved with the Ukrainian community, espe-
cially scouting. Tania attended St Basil ele-
mentary school and graduated from Girls
High. Graduating from Temple University,
Tania went on to work for the Defense Indus-
trial Supply Center in Philadelphia after col-
lege. Tania met her soul mate, David, and the
two were married in 1986. Tania dedicated
herself to raising their two children, Julian
and Monica, tending to her parents, and tak-
ing care of others, including her precious
cats. At her children’s schools, Tania was an
active member of the Parent Teacher Organ-
ization, and could be counted on for her tire-
less hours of work. Inspired by her autistic
nephew, Tania became an aide in a school
with autistic children at Temple Beth Hillel’s
Beth El Bright Horizon program, bringing her
gifts of patience and kindness. In 2013, Tania
and her husband David acquired a local fran-
chise of ComForCare Senior Services Care, a
home healthcare business. With her clients,
Tania demonstrated generosity and empathy,
as she did with everyone she encountered.
Tania had many hobbies and passions, most
notably painting. Tania was a master painter,
crafting intricate artwork and studying under
Paul DuSolde. She enjoyed painting outdoor
landscapes and human figures. Tania was
also a voracious reader who looked forward
to in-depth conversations with her longtime
book club friends. Tania shared a love for
European travel and cooking with David and
her children. This past summer, Tania and
her daughter Monica travelled to Europe to-
gether in celebration of Monica’s college
graduation. All who knew Tania can attest to
her gentle spirit; as a mother, daughter, wife,
daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, teacher,
animal lover, businesswoman, and friend.
Tania’s easygoing nature immediately put
people at ease everywhere she went, and will
be forever missed. Contributions may be
