Goldie Feldman (nee Gangursky) on October
29, 2020. Beloved wife of the late David J.;
Loving mother of Eileen Longo Stellrecht
(Ewald A.); Dear sister of Edna Tohancyn and
David Gangursky; Devoted grandmother of
Daphne (Erol), Jessica (Christian), Mark
(Elizabeth) and Julie (Scott); Adoring great-
grandmother of Isobel, Sasha, Maxfield,
Samuel, Matthew and Annie. Goldie was born
on March 4, 1924, in Philadelphia, the young-
est daughter of seven children. Parents, Fan-
nie (nee Cherwin) and Isadore Gangursky.
Goldie had a 30+ year career as a Federal
Government employee marked by upward
mobility. She was an integral member of the
aircraft design department at the Naval Air
Facility. After retirement she and Dave
traveled extensively throughout the United
States with his group from the USS Boxer;
visited their granddaughter in Italy during her
study abroad. Goldie enjoyed many years of
Summer getaways at the Jersey shore to-
gether with Dave and with the whole
family.She loved living in center-city Phil-
adelphia with her beloved sister and pal,
Edna. They were a recognizable duo together,
lunching, walking to Rittenhouse Square, or
taking the bus to Chinatown to one of their
favorite spots. She was a wordsmith, always
busy with a crossword puzzle, cutting out
cartoons and newspaper articles to send to
her grandchildren; many years of selecting
gifts on great-grandchildren’s birthdays were
her field of expertise and joy. The cards,
drawings, invitations, mementos of celebra-
tions together from grandchildren and great-
grandchildren received by her were saved,
marked by her as “treasures” and at her re-
quest will be buried with her. Contributions in

FELDMAN Maurice Feldman, affectionately known as
Mo, passed away peacefully on November
14, 2020. Beloved fiancé of Marleen Kessler;
Loving father of Hope Snow (Kevin) and Re-
ta Feldman-Adler (Brian); Beloved brother of
Sam Feldman (Barbara); Adoring grandfather
of Marty. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mo en-
joyed studying, reading and practicing Juda-
ism and loved to have long discussion about
the Torah. He was a very loving, kind and
generous man. He loved sports and particip-
ated daily by running and weightlifting. He
ran tow marathons and won medals in
weightlifting in Senior Olympic competitions.
He donated personally to the Jewish Anti-De-
famation League. Contributions in his

Nina L. Fischer (nee Vernick) passed away
November 1, 2020. She was the daughter of
the late Rose and Morris Vernick. She is sur-
vived by her loving brother, Leonard (Susan)
Vernick; nieces and nephews, Rachel (Matt)
McArdle and Adam (Lindi) Vernick; and
great-nieces and great-nephew, Sidney and
Maya Vernick and Lincoln McArdle; and dear

GREEN GILDINER
Sydney Gildiner, 84, most recently of Mays
Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on Octo-
ber 30, 2020, his beloved wife of 64 years
Cookie (nee Helene Lichter) and devoted chil-
dren Len (Lynn Green), Cherry Hill, NJ; Fern
Weiss, Ft Myers, FL and Jeff (Dorothy),
Hamilton, NJ. Syd was predeceased by his
younger brother, Mark in 2013. Born and
raised in South Philadelphia, Syd graduated
Central High and Temple University School of
Pharmacy. He and Cookie met in high school
and married soon after. They started their life
together in Northeast Philly then moved to
Margate, NJ, joining Temple Beth El. Syd was
co-owner of Groveland Prescription Center in
Somers Point, NJ for almost 25 years and
member of Avoda, serving a term as its Nas-
si. The couple retired to Boynton Beach, FL
until health issues took them to Estero, FL,
closer to their daughter. In 2017, the couple
returned to South Jersey to join their sons
and families. They took great pride and joy in
their grandchildren: Rachel Gildiner (Adam
Small), Washington, DC; Rebecca Gildiner,
Brooklyn NY; Michael (Brandi) Weiss, Lees-
burg, VA; Samantha Weiss, Ft Myers, FL and
Eric Gildiner, Lancaster, PA. The crown jew-
els of his life with Cookie were their four
great-grandchildren, Sammy, Vera, Sonia and

strong, creative, talented designer and busi-
ness owner who left us on October 30th,
2020. Daughter of the late Stanley and
Thelma Kessler. Ellen, a loving wife, mother

Zelda Golub passed away peacefully at the
age of 103 on October 27, 2020. Beloved
wife of the late Hyman Golub, and devoted
mother to the late Patricia (Howard Tate),
Elliott (Thea) and Bonnie (Ray Lemisch). She
adored her grandchildren James, Robert,
Stefanie, Aaron, Jennifer, Zachary & Hayley,
and leaves behind six great-grandchildren.
She raised her children in Brooklyn and
Wantagh, New York, and later moved to Bala
Cynwyd, Pennsylvania to be with her grand-
children. She was active in Women's Americ-
an ORT and the League of Women Voters,
and especially loved being everyone's "moth-
er/grandmother”. She will be greatly missed.

Shirley Greenbaum (nee Pepp), age 96, wife
of the late Norman Greenbaum, died peace-
fully at home in Bala Cynwyd on November
13. She is survived by her children Alan (An-

(David). A devoted grandmother, she was ad-
ored by Marni Deckter (Jon), Dana Schachter

known as GiGi to her great-grandchildren Sati

JACOBS Sara (Kenig) Jacobs, age 96, on October 19,
2020. Sara was preceded in death by her
husband Milton (Mickey) on May 19, 2019.
Sara was a homemaker who was born in
Strawberry Mansion and lived in Northeast
Philadelphia and Elkins Park. She cour-
ageously lived with challenging physical dis-
abilities at the end of her life, spending al-
most a decade in Rydal Park. After starting
together in Independent Living, Mickey and
Sara eventually became next door neighbors
in the Medical Center. Known for her
strength, wit and great beauty, Sara’s life
force was palpable through the end of her
life. Sara is survived by children Dr. Ken Jac-
