MAIMON Michael D. Levin M.D. passed away on April
25, 2021. Beloved husband of Tania Levin
(nee Berg). Devoted and loving father to

KOVNAT Arthur Samuel Kovnat, on May 10, 2021.
Husband of late Lorraine Mostovoy Kovnat.
Son of the late Isadore and Sarah Kovnat.
Mother of Larry Kovnat (Denise Bolger Kovn-
at) and Karel Kovnat (Lee Adler). Grandmoth-
er of Jacob, Eliza (Blake), Sarah and Rachel.
Great grandmother of Owen and Miles.
Brother of Selma (deceased), Donald (de-
ceased) and Stanton (deceased) (Renee – de-
ceased and Joyce – deceased). Uncle of Paul
(Ellen) and son Ethan, Stuart (Helene), and
the late Brian as well as Paula (Michael), son
Daniel and the late Stillman (Joyce). Before
his marriage in 1952 to Lorraine, Arthur
served in the US Navy and was stationed in
the Pacific during WWII. He graduated from
the Temple University School of Pharmacy in
1951 where he was a member of the Alpha
Tau Omega fraternity. Arthur owned Kovnat
Pharmacy, Rx Pharmacy, Larkar Pharmacy,
Largood Shopping Center, Dauphin Phar-
macy and Medical Center and Arway Phar-
macy. He loved to work and he loved the
people he worked with so much that he nev-
er successfully retired. Arthur continued
working at the Atlantic City Medical Center on
a seasonal basis well into his ‘80’s. Arthur
loved the sun and lived between his and Lor-
raine’s shore and Florida homes until they
moved to Rydal Park in 2013. Arthur loved
to travel and ventured around the world with
his wife and friends. Most of all Arthur loved
Jewish culture and traditions and regularly
read the Torah throughout his life, and even
most recently last month at Rydal Park. He
had a deep commitment to his Jewish faith
and was delighted to be a member of the
Miyanaires at Congregation Beth Shalom. He
was dearly loved by family and friends and
will be deeply missed. Contributions in his

LABE Alexander Labe, M. D. passed away peace-
fully on April 24th. He was better known as
"Sandy" to his family and friends. He is sur-
vived by his loving wife of 66 years, Myra
Goldberg Labe, his devoted and loving chil-
dren, Andrea, Marjorie and Jonathan, and his
grandson Jeremy, who all brought him so
much joy. Sandy was a graduate of Chelten-
ham High School, where he was an outstand-
ing wrestler, a graduate of Franklin and Mar-
s h a ll C o ll e ge an d t h e Un iv er s it y of
Pennsylvania Medical School. He became a
General Surgeon and was dedicated to his
work and patients. Sandy enjoyed tennis,
bridge and his many travels and vacations
with Myra and his family. He enjoyed his
work, his life and his many friends. Services
and interment were private. Contributions in
Sandy's memory can be made to the Phil-
adelphia Zoo, the Montgomery County SPCA
or a charity of the donor's choice.

LEVIN Shirlee Levin died in Coral Springs, Florida on
Monday, May 17 at 92. She was the beloved
wife of the late Howard Levin of Philadelphia
and the loving mother of her sons, the late
David and Paul Levin. She is survived by her
daughter Randy Biro. Graveside memorial
service will be held on Monday, June 7 at
11:00 am at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Tre-
vose, PA.
LEVINSON Lee S. Levinson (02/05/1925-04/28/2021)
Lee lived with honesty, integrity, and a very
dry wit. He passed away with his family at his
side. Lee was born in Chicago, IL, to Mollie
Slott and Charles Levinson. At the age of
eight, his family moved to New York City for
his mother's position with the Chicago
Tribune New York Syndicate Newspapers. As
a result, Lee and his older brother, Bill, led an
extraordinary life surrounded by cartoonists,
media executives, and notable national
columnists. Lee graduated Townsend Harris
High School in Manhattan at the age of fif-
teen. He attended Ohio State University,
where he joined Phi Sigma Delta fraternity
prior to enrolling in Naval Officer Training
School at the outbreak of World War II. Lee
served with distinction as a Lieutenant Juni-
or Grade in the South Pacific, participating in
numerous campaigns and support missions.
After the war, Lee returned to Ohio State,
where he met the love of his life and wife of
72 years, Johann. Lee and Johann settled in
Philadelphia to raise their family. Lee ran a
successful meat packing company and was a
founding member of Temple Beth Hillel,
Wynnewood, PA. Lee remained an avid
sports fan of his beloved Ohio State Buck-
eyes, Chicago Cubs and Philly sports teams.
Upon retirement to South Florida, Lee was a
constant fixture on the tennis courts well in-
to his eighties despite his declining health.
Lee was a generous husband, dad, grandfath-
er and great-grandfather. He will be missed
dearly. Lee is survived by his wife, Johann;
daughter Linda Hertz (Lee); son Richard
(Cherie); grandchildren Meryl Junik (Kyle),
Rachel Licht (Gregg), Sundri Simon (Keith)
and James; and great-grandchildren Evan,
Aaron, Margot, Shay, Emilia, and Zoe. His
family is eternally grateful to his caregivers,
John Ebanks and Mittylyn Holness. Intern-

Lee Maimon of Rydal, PA, who graduated
from Cheltenham High School in 1952, Penn
State (BA , 19 56) a n d Un iv e r s i ty o f
Pennsylvania with a degree in Industrial Man-
agement, died on May 18, 2021. Lee was a
beloved husband of Barbara; (nee Prusky);
loving father of Jill Maimon Gural (David),
Marcy Monheit (the late Michael), Susan Mai-
mon and Wendy Maimon Frieder (Samuel);
adored grandfather of Eve, Will, Peter, Molly,
Matthew, Maxwell, Mia, Margot, Gregory,
Jeremy, Natalie, Ethan and Chad. Lee was a
devoted husband, father, grandfather and
sports enthusiast. As a student athlete, he
was an outstanding football and basketball
player; he later became a lover of golf, tennis,
fishing and hunting. As an accomplished real
estate developer in South Jersey, Lee and his
partner were the first to build garden style of-
fices on the east coast. Funeral Services were

Janet Nimoityn, 74 of Phila., PA died May 5,
2021 at Lions gate in Voorhees, NJ. Janet
had a career as a teacher and was the daugh-
ter of the late Dr. Benjamin and Edith
Nimoityn. She is survived by her siblings
Sally (Dr. Arthur) Smith and Dr. Philip (Hil-
lary) Nimoityn and also survived by many
nieces and nephews. Burial took place at

Nancy Lovitch, age 74, passed away peace-
fully on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her home
in Bryn Mawr after an extended illness. Sur-
vived by her loving husband, Dr. Edward
Bleeden, daughter Laura (Ryan) Maleknia and
granddaughter Ava Leigh; brothers Fred (Di-
nah) and Edward (Martha) Lovitch; sister-in-
law Ellen Richmond; nieces and nephews as
well as extended family. She is predeceased
by her parents, Clarence and Freda (Ruben-
stein) Lovitch. Nancy was a proud native of
Williamson, West Virginia. Following her
graduation from the University of Cincinnati
with a degree in teaching, she attended Anti-
och College where she earned her Master's
degree. She taught special education in the
Philadelphia school system for over 15 years.
After raising her daughter, she enjoyed a
second teaching career in the Lower Merion
school system, where she again dedicated to
teaching challenged students and mentoring
young teachers who were very grateful to
her. As a consummate hostess and a talen-
ted cook and baker, she generously wel-
comed friends and family for legendary meals
on the holidays, birthdays and other special
occasions. She has a special way of opening
her home and making everyone feel comfort-
able. She was a loving and caring daughter,
wife, mother and grandmother, whose time
with her granddaughter Ava was cut far too
short. She was a kind and caring listener
whose companionship will be missed by
