SILBERMAN DEATH NOTICES
SHELOW Howard Leonard Shelow was born January 7,
1932 to David Shelow and Sophie Meyers in
Philadelphia, PA. A 1949 Laureati Honor So-
ciety Member as a West Philadelphia High
School graduate; and, a 1953 Dean's List
Wharton School , University of Pennsylvania
moved to Estero, Florida in 1991. In Florida,
Mr. Shelow maintained a most successful tax
preparation organization, under the leader-
ship of CEO Edward Wierzbowski since 1978,
which enjoyed prestige and the height of ac-
complishment for nearly forty years. Before
relocating in Estero, Florida, Mr. Shelow
served as controller for Jade Electronics in
Trevose, Pennsylvania from 1975 to 1991 for
which he was solely responsible for the phe-
nomenal thriving growth enjoyed by the cor-
poration moving to its present location at 275
Andrews Road. Mr. Shelow was the mentor
of many of the Jade employees who turned to
him and relied on him for guidance. Mr. Shel-
ow was a jacket all trades and a master of all
of them, and it did not take long for the Jade
Organization to move from the second floor
of 3507 Kensington Avenue to 410B Clear-
view Avenue and 275 Andrews Road. Howard
Shelow will be missed by all the Jade person-
nel to which he added dimension. Mr. Wi-
erzbowski served as his health surrogate and
caregiver and was visited yearly in October
by Mr. Shelow's niece, Debbie Leonardo of
Egg Harbor Township, NJ to be with and cel-
ebrate with her uncles Howard and Ed and
nephew Skippy. We enjoyed Debbie's Tues-
day, Thursday and Saturday speaker phone
calls which included from the serious to the
sublime and from meaningful discussion of
Grand dogs to the meaningless chatter of
how the morning coffee might turn out. The
quantity of Mr. Shelow's friends were less
than the digits of one hand; but, the quality of
Mr. Shelow's friends made up more than
sheer numbers could represent. Many tried
to emulate what Mr. Shelow and Mr. Wi-
erzbowskia accomplished; but failed because
the honesty and integrity of the dual purpose
was artificial and served an ulterior motive.

During the years, Mr. Shelow failed to realize
that many who came across as his friends,
were not friends and failed to keep in touch
with him after their purpose was accom-
plished. These people know who they are and
have to live with their own conscience until
they reach the point were I am today.

SILBERMAN Renee Silberman (nee Spector), July 18,
2017, of Boynton Beach FL, formerly of Phil-
adelphia PA. Beloved wife of the late Sol Sil-
berman; loving mother of Edward (Shelly)
Silberman, Michael (Ellen) Silberman, David
(Jill) Silberman, Robert (Yoni) Silberman and
Kenneth Silberman; dear sister of Edward M.

(Eleanor) Spector. Grandmother of Adam,
David, Jason, Tracy, Kate, Scott, Leigh and
Julia; also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Contributions in her memory be made to the
Rohr Center for Jewish Life - Chabad House,
780 College Ave., Haverford PA 19041.

Judaism isn’t just what we believe, or the prayers
we recite or the laws we observe. It’s also about
the way we live. How we interact with others.

The values we practice. The customs and traditions
we embrace and pass down, from one generation
to the next.
