HILLMAN KABO
LESSER Andrew Samuel Hillman, 67, of West Palm
Beach, passed away on January 20, 2020
surrounded by his two loving daughters and
his beloved sister. He was born on February
17, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and
grew up in Coatesville. He graduated college
from American University and received his
J.D. from Temple University School of Law.

He is remembered for his passion for the
Philadelphia Eagles, a great tennis game, and
his commitment to the Jewish faith. While
living in Philadelphia, he held numerous lead-
ership positions in charitable organizations
including the Golden Slipper Club and the
American Heart Association. Additionally, he
was honored by Israel Bonds, having raised
more than $2 million in his fundraising ef-
forts. He is survived by his two daughters,
Lauren Hillman Kase (Benjamin); Alexis
Grace Hillman Valasek (William). He was the
proud grandfather (Pop-pop) of Sebastian,
Charlotte and Alexander Kase and Maya and
Evan Valasek. He is also survived by the
mother of his daughters, Roberta Black Hill-
man, his loving sister Arlene Hillman Shank
(Jerrold), many nieces, nephews, and life-
long friends from around the country. He
was preceded in death by his parents Her-
man and Evelyn Riebman Hillman, his sister
Sarah Leah Hillman McKinley and his be-
loved yellow Labrador Yofi. In lieu of flowers

HIRSCH Philip Hirsch, 93 of Voorhees, NJ, passed
away on 1/2/20 in Voorhees. Philip was born
in Bronx, NY to Clara and Leo Hirsch on
8/18/26. He served in the Army Air Corps
during World War II and earned a B.S. in
Journalism from NYU. He worked as CEO for
Ideal Publishing and was responsible for 28
magazines. He wrote over 70 books, includ-
ing children’s joke books. He enjoyed read-
ing, punning, Broadway, politics, but most of
all, he enjoyed being with his family. Philip is
survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joy
Hirsch, daughter Hope (Charles), son Lee
(Evelyn), treasured grandchildren Cory and
Connor and brother, Ralph (Ellen). Memorial

Harry Kabo (March 26, 1925-December 19,
2019) of Lake Worth, FL and Atlantic City,
NJ. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Ros-
alind Kabo (née Issadore) and loving father of
Bonni (Jerry) Shinfeld and Michael (Ellen)
Kabo. Proud PopPop of Brett, Drew, Jaime,
Kyle, Scott, Tracy and 9 great-grandchildren.

Harry was blessed to be the life-partner of
Shirley Caltune for the last 18 years. Her son,
Craig, her grandchildren and great-grandchil-
dren were loved by Harry. Harry led an active
life and was a leader in the Board Room, the
Club Room and the Locker Room. A proud
WW2 veteran of the United States Navy and a
true member of the Greatest Generation, he
was a successful businessman for his entire
career. Harry loved people and was loved by
people. Throughout his life, he did it his way.

MAGID Scott Magid, 69, of Mifflinville, PA, formerly
of Philadelphia, died Tuesday morning, Janu-
ary 14, 2020 of a long illness. Scott spent
many years working in the garment industry;
in his leisure he enjoyed being with his many
