ried to the late Simon E. Levin for more than
57 years. Secretary in State College for the

perintendent. Secretary in the Philadelphia
School District. Survived by 2 children, Mi-
chael Levin (Barbara) and Merri Levin (Paul
Umfer). She is the proud grandmother of
Laura Schreiber (Harlan) and Julia Levin and

LISS Arline Liss passed away on Jan.1, 2018 in
New York City. She was a January, 1948
graduate of West Philadelphia High School
and a member of Sigma Pi Sigma High
School sorority. Growing up in Philadelphia
she took lessons at Florence Cowanova
Dance Studio, and also performed on stage at
Philadelphia Experimental Theater. In the
early 1950's she taught dancing in Oxford
Circle before moving to New York City to
study at the American Academy of Dramatic
Art. She remained in New York and worked
as a copy editor and then as a legal secretary.
She is survived by her brother Alan and wife
Leah of Langhorne and niece Audrey of New-
town and nephew Michael of Kansas City as
well as grand nephews Zachary and Drew
and numerous first cousins. She will be
greatly missed by her friend of over 75 years
Doreen Hahn Shumsky. Relatives and friends

(CHOP) and president of Pennsylvania Hos-
pital Hospice. She is survived by her hus-

children: Zachary, Alex and Sophia Marion,
and Melissa, Molly and Maddy Fair, and

Mr. Gerald Olen, the longtime owner of
Jerry’s Jewelers of Bristol, PA died Decem-
ber 30, 2017. During his lifetime, Mr. Olen
was very involved with the Bucks County
community. He was instrumental in opening
4 different synagogues in the Bucks County
area and Levittown, NJ (now Willingboro).
Beloved husband of Rita (nee Kelis). De-
voted father of Elliot Olen (Joanne) and
Sandy Ostach (Herb). Loving grandfather of
April Delgado (Joe), Jason Ostach, Benjamin
Olen, and Danielle Olen. Loving great grand-
father of Graham and Miriam. Contributions

Dr. Sidney J. Pariser, 97, husband of the late
Selma Joy (Singer) Pariser, of Audubon, PA,
died on Monday, January 8, 2018. Born on
January 11, 1920 in Newark, NJ, he was the
son of the late Samuel and Sadie (Uhr) Par-
iser. He served in the US Army as a Medic
during World War II. Upon returning home,
he practiced Optometry until the age of 78.
He served on numerous Optometric Society
committees to promote professional ad-
vancement. He founded and remained a
member of his high school fraternity, the
Gryphons., for seven decades. He was a reg-
ular attendee at the Cousins Club. In later
years, he enjoyed meeting old and new
friends at Shannondell Retirement Com-
munity. Surviving are, daughter, Ellen Par-
iser and her husband Walter Musson of
Maine, son, Dr. Benjamin Pariser and his wife
Melanie of Carlisle, PA, son, Dr. Ronald Par-
iser and his wife Carla of West Hartford, CT.
3 grandchildren; Robert (Pam),Serena, and
Joseph (Melissa). 4 great grandchildren. He
remained close to his brother in law, Arnold
Singer He was preceded in death by, sister,
Helen Friedman brother, Dr. Harry Pariser
(Alice) sister, Charlotte Kurtzman (Sam) Rel-

MANN It is with deep sadness we mourn the passing
of HILLARD S. MANN on December 28,
2017. He was an amazing husband, father,
grandfather & uncle. He is survived by his
wife of 42 years, Elayne; his children Stacey
Dorr (Mark), Jodie Albuck (Mark), & Adam
Albuck; granddaughter Mackenzie Dorr; niece
Lauren Luis Brusovanik (Gosha), and close
friend Gabi Rosas. Hillard was born in Phil-
adelphia, PA on December 22, 1930. He at-
tended Central High School, and served in the
U.S. Navy. He graduated with a doctorate in
Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of
Pharmacy, and worked as a pharmacist until
he retired in his early 80's. Before relocating
to Miami, he owned his own pharmacy in
Germantown, PA "Leedom & Wissler Phar-
macy." He will be remembered for his love &
commitment to his family and his pets. We
loved him dearly, and will miss him. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests that donations be
made to The Humane Society and/or Smile-
Train in Hillard's name.
Dr. Donald L. Nathanson age 81, of Wyn-
newood, PA, passed away Wednesday,
December 27, 2017. Don was a psychiatrist
in private practice in Philadelphia, and Asso-
ciate Professor at Thomas Jefferson Uni-
versity and Hahnemann Hospitals. He was
the author of several books, including
“Shame and Pride: Affect, Sex, and the Birth
of the Self”, and lectured extensively. He is
survived by his wife, Roz (nee Race), daugh-
ter, Julie Nathanson Holcomb (David Hol-
comb), grandson, Henry Holcomb, sister,
Nina Birnbaum (Robert Birnbaum), and Rob
Press. Funeral service was Sunday, Decem-
ber 31 st at West Laurel Hill Funeral Home,

Gloria Rosenberg (Schwartz), a Langhorne
resident and former resident of Levittown,
passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. She
was 94. Gloria graduated from Tilden High
School in Brooklyn, NY in 1940. She worked
at Columbia Pictures in New York and her
boss was to become the executive director of
the TV show "The Man From Uncle". She mar-
ried Herman Rosenberg in 1950. Mrs. Rosen-
berg was a longtime and original resident of
Forsythia Gate in Levittown. She was an act-
ive member of Congregation Beth El and a
board member for many years. She loved to
travel, play Bridge, read, volunteer (member
of YAP, Youth Advisory Panel in Middletown
Township) and spend time with her family
and friends. She moved to Attleboro Village
in December 2003, and was an active mem-
ber of their community and served as presid-
ent of their resident association for two
years. She was loved by all staff and resid-
ents. Gloria was the beloved wife of the late
Herman Rosenberg; devoted mother of Irvin
I. Rosenberg and the late Lawrence Rosen-
berg; and the dear sister of the late Ira
Schwartz. Relatives and friends were invited
to funeral services Monday at Congregation
Beth El, 375 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, PA
19067. Burial followed at Beth David
Cemetery, Elmont, NY. Contributions in her
