58 years. Together they went on adventures
for business and leisure with their friends
and family. Helen enjoyed the company of
everyone she met and was the perfect host-
ess at the many parties they had for all their
friends, business associates and family.
Helen was a model, in fact Miss Westing-
house of 1941. She was a partner along with
her husband Morris, of Morris Distributors,
a floor covering distributor located in Phil-
adelphia, Pa. But her role as Wife, Mother,
Grandmother and Great Grandmother was

ruary 7, 2019; of Bryn Mawr; Beloved wife of

grandchildren. Cookie was a modest, unpre-
tentious woman who was an avid reader, stu-
dious bridge player and a struggling golfer.
Her greatest pleasure was eliciting a smile
from anyone who would put up with her mis-
chievous wit. She earned a Masters in Ed.
from Temple University and taught kinder-
garten and pre-school prior to returning to
NYC during the war to work for a newspaper
while her husband was serving in Europe.
Following the war, she became the first pres-
ident of the Parents’ and Teachers’ Associ-
ation at Gompers Elementary School. She
then raised her family in Wynnewood during
which time she continued volunteer work for
various Jewish organizations, including ORT,
as well as reading for the Overbrook School
for the Blind. Thanks to the devotion of the
Reid sisters, she was fortunate to live a full
and happy life, passing just 6 weeks shy of
her 105th birthday. Services and interment
were private. In lieu of flowers contributions

Faith S. Kurtzberg, most incredible and loved
mother to Karen Kurtzberg Wish and her hus-
band Jerry Wish of Short Hills, NJ, wife of
the late Leonard Kurtzberg and beloved
grandmom to Sarah, Abbey and Jack Wish
passed away at the age of 92 on January 27,
2019. Faith was one of the first women in
computer programming -- a true "pioneer
woman". Recognized for her professional and
leadership skills, she was the recipient of one
of the highest civilian honors, the Navy Su-
perior Civilian Award, from the federal gov-
ernment, where she worked for 37 years
leading an organization of over 300 people.
Faith's warm smile was appreciated by all
who crossed her path. Her qualities of loyal
friend, committed listener and advisor, well-
timed humor and selfless consideration for
others made her a remarkable mother, grand-
mother, person and friend. In lieu of flowers

Marilyn Laudenslager (nee Schachter); also
known as Marilyn Silverstein; age 80; passed
away Friday, February 1, 2019 in Medford,
NJ. Born in New York, NY; a resident of
Winslow Township, NJ. Predeceased by her
parents, Dorothy Litowitz and Julius
Schachter. Beloved wife of Richard J.
Laudenslager. Loving mother of three sons
from her first marriage to Philip Silverstein
(Robert Silverstein, Steven Silverstein and
Joshua Silverstein) and of five grandchildren.
Further survived by five stepchildren, 12 step
grandchildren and 15 step great-grandchil-
dren. Also leaves a brother (Harold
Schachter), four half-siblings (Judy Miller,
Rania James, Bonnie Wassall and David
Schachter) and many other loving relatives. A
graduate of Douglass College at Rutgers Uni-
versity. A lifelong passionate writer and edit-
