GROBMAN KATZ
LIPKIN MILLER
Sidney M. Grobman died August 16, 2019 in
Florida. He was the son of Eva & Paul Grob-
man and lived in S. Philadelphia. He gradu-
ated from the South Philadelphia High School
for Boys where he met four boys : Billy, Irv,
Perry & Marvin who were his best friends for
all of his life. He is sorely missed by the “cof-
fee clatch”. He graduated from Penn State
University with a degree in accounting and
passed all parts of the CPA exam in one ses-
sion. His career included corporate positions
as well as private clients. After retiring, he
moved to Florida and enjoyed his life there.

He is greatly missed by his sister, Edna
(Bernard) Pincus, niece, Lisa (Dave) Segal
and nephew, Steve Segal.

Arthur D. Katz, November 28, 2019 at the age
of 79, in Estero, Florida. He was a former
Philadelphian. He graduated from Central
High and Temple University. Survived by his
favorite dance partner and wife , who adored
him, Janyce (Rosendorff) Katz . Father of Jef-
frey Katz (Melissa), Dr. Randy Katz (Cris),
Alyssa Katz Grusman(Robert), Lori Levin
McIlvaine, Debra Weisberg (Steven). Be-
loved Pop Pop of Lauren and Lara. Brother of
Lynn Sands and Robert Katz (Betty). Arthur
was a retired partner of the Achievement and
Guidance Centers of America, Newtown, PA.

He was a true entrepreneur, starting many
businesses in his lifetime. Contributions in

Alan Barrie Lipkin, age 83, died on December
18, 2019. Beloved husband of Sarah (nee
Greenbaum); and loving father of Suzanne
(Richard Exelbert) Lipkin. Alan was a mem-
ber of PARA, a graduate of West Phil-
adelphia High School, and was an Electron-
ics Specialist for GE Aerospace for 36 years.

He battled ALS courageously for over 2

Maxine Halpern (nee Kotzker), age 89, died
on December 16, 2019. She was retired ad-
ministrative assistant who resided in Wyn-
newood, Pennsylvania. Wife of the late Nor-

Halpern; grandmother of Marisa (Vince),
Brett (Marla), Sasha, and Justin; and great-

Dr. Samuel Rosenfeld joined his beloved son,
Jordan Louis Rosenfeld, on December 1st,
after a long and courageous battle with pan-
creatic cancer. Born in Pittsburgh, he
formerly resided in Gladwyne, Pa, and even-
tually settled in Sarasota, Fl, and Ventnor,
New Jersey. Sam's upbeat and caring nature
touched the lives of everyone he knew. His
strong moral compass, generosity, and ac-
ceptance of others were an inspiration to all
who knew him. He was a true renaissance
man, Sam had an avid interest in Politics and
world affairs, loved to work in the garden, en-
joyed going to the theater and opera. He
loved to travel and was adventurous, jump-
ing out of airplanes, paragliding off a moun-
tain, skiing a black diamond. For many years
he was a Big Brother. He is survived by his
adoring bride, Sacha, his brother Brian and
wife Sally, Sister and Brother-in Law, Jerry
and Sue Ann Levin, Sister-in Law, Dr. Janet
Crane, niece, nephews, and his many friends
who will miss his so. Sam, you are loved
from the ground to outer space and back,

RUDOFSKY Raymond Rudofsky, beloved father of David
Rudofsky (Camilla Calamandrei) and Susan
Schwartz (David), passed away on Decem-
ber 4, 2019 at the age of 91 years. He was
the son of Louis and Yetta (Feldman) Rudof-
sky, who were both born in Russia. He had
two brothers, Sidney Rudofsky (Frances),
who predeceased him by five days, and Bern-
ard (Doris) Rudolf. He was born at home at
433 Herzl Street in Brooklyn on December
30, 1927. In 1945 he was drafted into the US
Army, where he served at the Aberdeen Prov-
ing Ground and in Occupied Japan. He was
honorably discharged in 1947 and attended
CCNY where he received a BEE in Electrical
Engineering and also completed post-gradu-
ate studies at Brooklyn Polytechnic. He spent
his entire career in the computer industry,
and was involved in the development of some
of the earliest large scale computers, includ-
ing the UNIVAC. A long time resident of Wil-
low Grove and Cheltenham, he served as ma-
gistrate of elections in Cheltenham for 20
years. He was very happily married for very
close to fifty years before his wife Helen
passed away on June 9, 2004. In addition to
their two children, Raymond is survived by
three grandchildren – Dina Hoeynk (Josh),
Ben Rudofsky (Annie Fuoto) and Marcello Ca-
lamandrei Rudofsky, and step-grandson Alex
Schwartz (Christy). He is also survived by
two great grandchildren, Miriam Hoeynk and
Nora Rose Rudofsky. Donations may be
