CARDONICK Ellen Sue Cardonick, wife and life partner of
Roland Collins of King of Prussia, passed
quietly on Monday, December 11, 2017 at
Paoli Hospital. She was born December 20,
1948 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Re-
uben and Gertrude (Gaston) Cardonick. She
was the loving sister of Larry & Sheldon. El-
len graduated George Washington High
School and then Temple University, Class of
1972. She was a part of the Physical Educa-
tion Department in the Philadelphia School
District from 1972 until she retired as Athlet-
ic Director in 1998. She continued her career
as a fitness consultant, personal trainer &
Zumba instructor. She leaves to mourn her
husband Roland, stepsons R.C. & Brad,
grandchildren Ryan & Olivia, nephews Daniel,
Michael and Brian, nieces Jennifer Cardonick
Walker and Amy Cardonick Cohn, and cous-
ins Loraine (Surnitsky) and Leonard Duboff.

In addition, her beloved friends, Zumba
ladies, “Team Ellen,” who accompanied her
throughout years of treatment and her furry
children: Samantha, Murphy, Hip-Hop, Tuck-
er, Frankie & Roccy, will miss her dearly. In-

December 7, 2017 suddenly following a bi-
cycle accident in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He

casual dining furniture industry. Paul di-
vided his time between Philadelphia and Fort
Lauderdale. Paul is survived by his spouse,
Anthony Christe, his brother Louis (Diane),
his sister Joan and nephews Aaron and Mi-
chael. Paul was an artist, an avid baker, and
he followed an active fitness regimen. Con-

Betty Louise Friedman (nee) Levitt of Bala
Cynwyd, as well as of Wellington, Florida,
passed away on Saturday, December 16,
2017 in San Diego, CA, where she had re-
cently moved. She was born to the late Lili-
an and Jules Levitt on November 27, 1928.

She is also predeceased by her husband Mar-
vin, her oldest brother Leonard, and his wife
Barbara. Betty graduated from Penn State
University with a degree in sociology. Later
she became a reading specialist in a pro-
gram that placed Philadelphia School District
teachers in parochial schools. Betty’s very
favorite activities revolved around friends and
family. She enjoyed bridge, reading novels,
and gardening. Betty was gifted in flower ar-
ranging, had a true flair for design, and was a
tireless shopper. She was extraordinarily
proud of her grandchildren. Betty is survived
by her children Diane Levy and Richard and
Mary Friedman as well as her grandchildren
Andrew Levy, Josiah and Andrea Friedman,
Sam Friedman, Jesse Friedman, her brother
Alan Levitt, his wife Elsa, and her cousin

Beach, FL., enjoyed bridge and dabbled in
sculpture. He shared interest in art and travel
with his wife of 60 years and shared the joy
of raising their family. He was known by
family and friends for his kindness, wisdom,
sense of humor and unconditional love.

Bonnie Krafchick, age 76, passed away
peacefully at home surrounded by her family
in the early hours of Sunday, December 3,
2017, in West Chester, PA. Bonnie is sur-
vived by her husband of 54 years Jack
Krafchick; and their children Dr. Jen
Krafchick (David Anderson) of Fort Collins,
CO; Dr. Michael Krafchick (Nicole) of Glen
Mills, PA; and Lieutenant Colonel Ned
Krafchick (Julia) stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA;
seven granddaughters: Cleo and Mia Ander-
son; Taylor, Lindsay, and Jordyn Krafchick;
Hannah and Arielle Krafchick, and Bonnie’s
sister Harriet Sue Zackroff (Rick), and many
nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was pre-
ceded in death by her parents Hannah and
Phillip Damsker of Wynnewood, PA. Bonnie
was born on January 9, 1941 in Philadelphia,
PA. She graduated from Lower Merion High
School in 1959 and Drexel University in 1963
with a degree in Retail Management. Bonnie
met her husband Jack while driving a con-
vertible on Haverford Avenue in 1957, and
had been together ever since. They lived in
Philadelphia, Boston, and Detroit, before set-
tling in Westtown in 1970 to raise their fam-
ily. They enjoyed traveling internationally (in-
cluding bringing their young family to Eng-
land for a year), visiting dude ranches, and
fulfilled a lifelong dream of having a beach
house on Long Beach Island, NJ for the past
17 years. Bonnie loved hosting her family and
friends at her beach house. Bonnie was a
dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was the glue that held her whole family
together and was fiercely loyal and proud of
her family. Bonnie was also an incredible
friend who was always willing to lend an ear
and give honest advice. She was a passion-
ate animal lover who always had dogs, fish,
and a few cats over the years. She loved to
cook and host gatherings at her home. She
enjoyed shopping, crafting, and giving gifts
to those she loved. True to her spirit of help-
ing others, Bonnie volunteered with many
local organizations including the House of
Sparrow, Tri-State Bird Rescue, Independ-
ence Dogs, ORT, and Penn Wood Element-
ary PTA. Bonnie will be missed greatly by
those who loved her. Relatives and friends
were invited to her Graveside Service at
10:30am on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at
Haym Salomon Memorial Park, 200 Moores
Rd. Frazer, PA 19355. In lieu of flowers, gifts
