GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S
RAPHAEL-SACKS WABER
June Waber (nee Langley), of Center City
Philadelphia. Beloved wife of 53 years to the
late Alfred Waber. June grew up in
Manchester, England, and with her sister and
mother lived through the bombings of World
War II. She and her late mother and sister
emigrated to the United States in the 1950s
where she came to meet and love her late
husband Alfred and came to love her adop-
ted home Philadelphia. The love of June's life
was her family. In particular, June and Alfred
loved and adored their daughter Lizabeth
Raynes, son-in-law Stephen Raynes, and
their two beloved granddaughters, Lily Ann
Raynes and Katie Raynes. She was a woman
of immense grace, humor, and kindness to
those whom she knew and to strangers on
the street. With her sweet English accent and
kind touch, she lit up many a room. She en-
joyed her extended family, dear friends,
bridge, and an Appletini. Her passing was
sudden and comes one day before the an-
niversary of her late beloved husband
Alfred's passing. In addition to her daughter,
son-in-law, and two granddaughters, she is
survived by one niece and four nephews. In
lieu of flowers, the family suggests a dona-
tion to the charity of the contributor's choice.

Roslyn Zavidowsky, of Ventnor, passed away
on August 10th. Her heart was so big that it
encompassed everyone that needed her,
loved her, and wanted to be her friend. Roz
never complained and had the most beautiful
smile to greet anyone that came to see her.

She was a beautiful mother who gave every
advantage of art, music, and joy to her chil-
dren. Roz was a teacher for eight years in
Philadelphia going into the children’s homes
to assist them and was a great inspiration to
her younger sister who became a teacher too.

She had so many friends and they always
spoke the same way; how wonderful she
was! Roz was predeceased by the love of her
life, her husband of 56 years, Bernard. She is
survived by her children, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, and her loving sister,
Joyce. The family asks that contributions in
her memory may be made to charity of the
donor’s choice as all causes were important
to Roz.

Judaism isn’t just what we believe, or the prayers we recite or the laws we
observe. It’s also about the way we live. How we interact with others. The
values we practice. The customs and traditions we embrace and pass down,
from one generation to the next.
